History

ABRA is a brand of handmade glass jewelry. It was founded in 2021 in Sardinia by Emiliano, son of a family of ceramists

The Name

The name ABRA Janas combines two meanings: ABRA comes from bracelet and from ABRAcadABRA – a simple name that evokes transformation, something minimal that, in the light, becomes extraordinary.

Janas is a tribute to Sardinia: in legend, the Janas were fairies who lived in granite caves and performed rituals between dream and reality. For us, it signifies community, craftsmanship, belonging. At the same time, "Janas" is the name of the beach where the idea of ABRA originated and was born: "Janas Beach."

The Brand

Minimalist design, easy to wear: clean lines, glass colors that capture light, pieces designed to go with everything, from the beach to the city.

A community that seeks experience and connection: people who don't just want to "buy," but to experience a context, meet, and share time, energy, and a way of being together.

Production

Production is decentralized in Northern Italy, with independent artisans following shared instructions and standards.

In addition to being sold in stores and online, products are also sold directly on beaches, to build relationships and direct contact with customers.

In our workshop, in addition to some of the jewelry design and production, we also design and create the physical elements of the brand: from store displays to bracelet containers and boxes, to keep every detail consistent with ABRA.

The Logo

The Seagull

A bird in flight, black against the horizon. It is the first sign one sees, because freedom is our primary value. The seagull is Sardinia: wind, salt, open sea, but it is also direction, movement, horizon. It invites our community to look forward, to see beyond the present, with lightness and courage.

The Wordmark

ABRA, designed with geometric, minimalist lines. Clean. Direct. Essential. It doesn't decorate; it defines. Where the seagull is movement, the wordmark is permanence: a solid structure built on clarity, responsibility, and longevity.

The "Janas" Line

Janas flows like a line of waves, but it also evokes the thread that strings pearls together. It is a symbol of connection, craftsmanship, and continuity. An invitation to the community: to stay connected to the people, rituals, and stories we carry forward.
